Bible reflection

Reflection (according to Cambridge Dictionary) is to carefully consider a thought or thoughts. KOPWA holds a bible reflection time on Thursday afternoons, it is an opportunity for residents to gather and think about the passages read.

Reflection can:

  • increase self awareness
  • develop deeper understanding of others
  • develop creative thinking
  • Build connection and share learning experiences
  • Foster social present interaction with others

The reflection session is a dedicated time to encourage residents. The topics allow residents to carefully consider other people’s viewpoint and respect any differences shared. It is also a precious time where residents may feel confident to share tips in helping each other with their experiences and sometimes struggles. By allocating time for reflection, the brain of an elderly person continues to develop or maintain the state of emotional and intellectual intelligence.
