As KOPWA’s physiotherapist, how often can we find you at Archbold House?

4 days per week (1/2-day shifts)

Best thing about being a physiotherapist:

Using the practical skills, knowledge and experience I’ve gained through my years in clinical practice to make a difference to the quality of life of the clients I treat.

I love seeing them smile when I have helped them to regain the ability to walk again or when I’ve helped them get relief from some niggling chronic pain.

How would you describe your working relationship with KOPWA?

I have been a part-time contractor physiotherapist for KOPWA Ltd since February 2015, so I would describe my work relationship as committed, loyal and long term!

It is a privilege to have a wonderful multi-faceted role in the organisation. Not only do I get to service the residents of Archbold House, but I also provide home based physiotherapy services to KOPWA Ltd Community home care clients.

As a result, I have great variety in my day to day clinical tasks. When I am at Archbold House, I am part of the multidisciplinary care team to provide clinical assessments and pain management to the Archbold residents.

When I am out in the community, I deliver physiotherapy services to clients who are unable to drive themselves to physio clinics. My goals and treatment methods vary depending on the context and clients.

What are your hobbies and how often do you get to enjoy them?

I love hanging out with my wife and two children, playing golf and tennis, drinking single malt Speyside scotch and cooking new Jamie Oliver recipes.
