Welcome to KOPWA

Supporting older Australians with dignity, compassion, and expert care since 1957.

Located in the leafy suburb of Roseville on Sydney’s North Shore, KOPWA is a trusted not-for-profit aged care provider offering high-quality residential aged care and specialised dementia support. For over 65 years, families have turned to us for personalised, relationship-based care that respects every individual and supports a meaningful quality of life.

Whether you’re seeking a comfortable and secure aged care home or specialised care for a loved one living with dementia, our experienced team is here to help. KOPWA is proudly community-focused, with a long-standing reputation for warmth, excellence, and integrity.

We’re proud to deliver aged care services that combine modern facilities, compassionate staff, and an unwavering commitment to resident wellbeing — all in a welcoming, village-like setting that feels like home.

Our Purpose

At KOPWA, we exist to enhance quality of life for older Australians through:

  • Respectful and individualised care

  • A safe, engaging, and supportive environment

  • A culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Who We Are

A not-for-profit organisation focused on people, not profit.

Our dedicated team includes registered nurses, care workers, allied health professionals and volunteers — many of whom have been part of the KOPWA family for years. Ongoing training, innovation, and partnerships with organisations like Dementia Australia ensure that our care remains best-practice.

Our Values

  • Respect

We treat every resident as we would our own parents and take the time to create meaningful moments that make a difference.

We actively listen, communicate with kindness, and foster an environment where everyone—residents, families, and staff—feels seen, heard, and valued.

Compassion and empathy guide our decision making and actions.

  • Accountability

We strive for continuous improvement and actively seek and act on feedback to enhance our services.

We hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards, ensuring the trust placed in us by residents, families, and the community is upheld with honesty and professionalism.

  • Integrity

We act with honesty and fairness, in everything we do. Integrity means doing the right thing—even when no one is watching.

We build trust through ethical conduct, respectful relationships, and a genuine commitment to providing care that aligns with our values.

We do what’s right, not necessarily what’s easy.

  • Dedication

We are unwavering in our commitment to the wellbeing, dignity, and comfort of every resident. This means showing up with compassion, patience, and professionalism—every day, in every interaction.

We go above and beyond to ensure each individual feels valued, respected, and cared for, recognising that every moment matters in the lives of those we serve.

Consumer Advisory Bodies

Your Voice Shapes Care at KOPWA

At KOPWA, we believe that the best aged care is built around the people we support. That’s why we invite residents, families, and representatives to join our Consumer Advisory Body (CAB) — an important group that help us listen, learn, and continuously improve the care and services we deliver.

What is a Consumer Advisory Body?

Our Consumer Advisory Body provides a way for you — or your representative — to share feedback directly with KOPWA’s leadership team about your experiences, needs, and ideas for improvement.

Consumer advisory bodies are important because they:

  • Look at the quality of care and services residents receive

  • Identify and communicate older people’s needs and issues

  • Provide opportunities for service improvements

Your voice is powerful — and your feedback is valued. KOPWA’s leadership must consider all feedback received through the Consumer Advisory Body when making decisions and will respond in writing to explain how your feedback has been considered.
